Infinity Arts Foundation creates films that bring to life the stories of visionaries — scientists, artists, and innovators whose ideas changed how we see the world. Rooted in real lives and discoveries, our mission is to spark curiosity and ignite imagination through the power of storytelling.
Each film serves as both art and outreach, using cinema to celebrate creativity, resilience, and the beauty of human achievement across science and art.
Based in New Orleans, the foundation also supports artists, filmmakers, and thinkers through the Infinity Arts Residency — providing time, space and community to pursue bold, cross-disciplinary work that bridges art and science.

Our PROGRAMS
Infinity Films develops and produces narrative feature films inspired by real lives, illuminating human achievement, struggle, and imagination. These works serve as both art and outreach, reaching audiences in classrooms, communities, and across the globe.
Infinity Residency provides a space for artists and scientists to step outside their routines and collaborate in transformative ways. Located in a restored 19th-century townhouse in New Orleans’ Julia Street Arts District the residency offers time and space.

Why Films
Infinity Films develops and produces narrative feature films based on real lives, illuminating human struggle, imagination, and achievement. We focus on stories that reveal the humanity behind discovery — and how truth and authenticity resonate across cultures.
Our work began with THE MAN WHO KNEW INFINITY, the story of Srinivasa Ramanujan. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and went on to screen at festivals and theaters worldwide. It was also shown in classrooms across the globe, inspiring students with the beauty of mathematics and the spirit of scholarly collaboration. Beyond its theatrical release, the film launched outreach initiatives, including the Spirit of Ramanujan Math Talent Initiative, which has discovered and supported new mathematical minds.
Currently we are developing films on Emmy Noether and Maryam Mirzakhani, whose brilliance and perseverance reshaped modern mathematics and whose lives can inspire a new generation.
Each project we take on combines authentic storytelling with impact campaigns, ensuring that our films are not only cinematic experiences but also catalysts for education, inspiration, and global outreach.

INNOVATE
Our campus on Julia Street in New Orleans’ Arts District spans 7,000 square feet, with live–work studios and a gallery/event space that will host public programs, workshops, and exhibitions. The Residency is designed not only as a retreat for fellows but also as a hub that connects them with the local community and other regional institutions, fostering dialogue among visitors, residents, and the city’s rich cultural and academic life.
The idea was born during The Man Who Knew Infinity, when our mathematics advisor Ken Ono credited his breakthrough on the umbral moonshine conjecture, a famous problem in mathematics, to being out of his usual academic environment while working on set. That unexpected spark — art fueling science — became the inspiration for the Residency.
Infinity Residency is designed to cultivate those sparks: a program where formal and informal interactions between scientists and artists can generate new ideas, discoveries, and ways of seeing the world.

Rooted in one of the most creative cities in the world, Infinity Arts Foundation draws its energy from New Orleans’ extraordinary cultural landscape — a city defined by artistry, resilience, and reinvention. From its deep jazz heritage and architectural beauty to its rhythm of innovation and storytelling, New Orleans embodies the very essence of creative exchange.
Here, tradition and experimentation coexist — much like a jazz composition — where improvisation gives rise to discovery and collaboration sparks something entirely new. It’s the perfect setting for IAF’s mission to unite art, film, and science. The city’s music, diversity, and enduring sense of possibility inspire the foundation’s work, reminding us that creativity, like New Orleans itself, is ever-evolving, expressive, and alive.
